Join the Global Wave of Light

Our Wave of Light Service remembers little ones lost at any stage of pregnancy, birth or infancy. If this is something which affects you do come and join us as we light candles and remember them. Write your loved ones name on the list in St Michael’s for reading out at the Service or email to have it added if you can’t make it. We will be taking donations for Piggles Trust, a charity acting locally to provide pre-school education in hospitals.

BLAW, 9-15th October, raises awareness of and the conversation around baby loss to ensure everyone gets the support they need. Throughout the week bereaved parents, their families and friends, unite with each other and others across the world to commemorate the lives of babies who have died. Now in its 17th year, BLAW calls for tangible improvements in research, care and policy around bereavement support and highlights what is available. If you have experienced such a loss BLAW has lots of information on resources and support.
