BABY LOSS AWARENESS WEEK

Join the Global Wave of Light

Our Wave of Light Service remembers little ones lost at any stage of pregnancy, birth or infancy. If this is something which affects you do come and join us as we light candles and remember them. Ribbons will be available from Monday 8th Oct from inside St Michael’s – write your loved ones name on it for reading out at the Service. We will be taking donations for Piggles Trust, a charity acting locally to provide pre-school education in hospitals.

BLAW, 9-15th October, raises awareness of and the conversation around baby loss to ensure everyone gets the support they need. Throughout the week bereaved parents, their families and friends, unite with each other and others across the world to commemorate the lives of babies who have died. Now in its 16th year, BLAW calls for tangible improvements in research, care and policy around bereavement support and highlights what is available. If you have experienced such a loss BLAW has lots of information on resources and support.

CHILDREN @ ST PAUL’S

Children attending services at St Paul’s can now enjoy their own groups during all our Sunday services, except for the 1st Sunday of the month. Our children’s activities will present Jesus, the church and the Bible in relevant ways that your child can connect with – using the same themes as in the main service in an age appropriate way. (Children can stay in the service with you if you prefer.)

For under 3s, we will have an unsupervised crèche. Your child can enjoy activity sheets which mirror our service themes. The space allows supervising adults to still enjoy the service.

Our ‘Everyone Welcome’ service is for all ages, so children stay with us – it’s on the 1st Sunday of every month. Do stay for refreshments afterwards.

St Paul’s services are at 10am.

So come join us, your entire family will be warmly welcomed!

But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19: 14
