House Groups

Opportunities to develop our faith in fellowship with others, are always important for Christians,

and in the parish, there are two groups that operate for most of the year for this purpose.

EVERYONE is invited to join either of the House Groups.

Please come along wherever and whenever possible!  All are welcome.

HOUSE GROUPS IN THE PARISH.

First and Third Wednesdays of the month.  The Rectory, 1 Ryon Close.  (Led by Revd Andrew Ashdown) Second and Fourth Wednesdays of the month.  3 Hammond Sq. (Led by Violet Porter).

Both groups are studying the

'DOXA' - DISCIPLESHIP COURSE.  (Based on the Communion Service.)

How does the weekly worship of the Church develop and inform your daily discipleship?  What does it all mean?  How is it relevant?

This Course invites participants to reflect upon how their worship relates to daily life.  Taking the framework of the Communion Service, a particular aspect of the Service is taken in each session to explore how it connects with our daily lives and with the community in which we live.  Sessions include reflection, bible study, discussion and will wrestle with practical questions such as suffering, vocation at work, issues of race and gender.

Reviewers write that 'This is a first rate resource offering a rich and fascinating mosaic of insights and ideas that will engage all who work with it - a feast for all those seeking to deepen their Christian faith and worship'.
